IX.XI - The Big Bang

On the tram the other day I overheard a conversation between two younger women. The first one said, it’s getting close to September 11th and I think it’s creepy. The other one replied, yes, do you remember what you did that day, myself was on the tram like now and then the tram-driver turned on the radio so everyone could here and when I got home…..
That’s where I lost myself in my thoughts of what I was doing that day, and I remember it too, I had just got home from school and I was zipping back and forth between channels. I remember there was this channel called Euro News, or something like that, it was live and I saw how one of the tower buildings where on fire. I read the scrolls and three minutes later I see, live on Television, how a new airplane crashes into the other building. First I come to think it’s just a review of the first, but how could that be, that’s impossible, and it’s live! Oh my god, what did I just see?

Now in less than two weeks we have première with “Big Bang”. Big Bang is about the Gothenburg riots summer of 2001 and September 11th. I play a teenage girl, daughter to an Iraqi, but born in Sweden. The role character, Moa Hafiz, decides to learn Arabic and becomes a real Muslim as she says. She decides to put on a headscarf against her fathers will and she changes her name to Aicha. As she learns more and more, she develops also powers that help her travel in time. She plays an important role in the September 11th in this performance.
